long beach

there are three things that you need to know about long beach (besides the fact that ira lippke studios are based there).


1) hamburger dan's. its in a song.


2) lee's sandwiches. the fastest banh mi in the west. and cheap too.
this may be the only known picture of lee's...the guard nearly made me swallow my film when he saw that i was taking pictures. figure that out...a banh mi place with a 24-hour guard.


3) it is very close to catalina island. we took the ferry. it was lovely.
